Konark Sun Temple Stone Wheel
A stone chariot wheel on the 13th century Konark sun temple in Orissa, East India. The entire temple resembles a chariot with 24 wheels. Each wheel has a diameter of 9 feet 9 inches with 8 spokes. Each wheel acts as a sundial and the various engravings shows the daily activity of people at different hours of the day. This is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Photo by Nila Newsom
